Inspired by the birth of our son and a
long lost book of poetry from grade school, Twinkle Twinkle Little Books (TTLB)
was conceived of and established in December 2002. After reading poetry
that only another child could truly appreciate, the concept of publishing
books written and illustrated by children, for children, came to life.
Today, we are an international publishing company that is
dedicated to the development of children’s creativity through quality
educational, inspiring, and motivational learning media. We encourage
kids to pick up a book or a pencil and learn what it feels like to
accomplish something created out of their own imagination and apply this
lesson to their future career paths, wherever it may lead them.
As founder and facilitator, TTLB established the Twinkle
Twinkle Little Writer’s Club in January 2004, a web venue where children
are given the opportunity to share their published work with other
members, have access to contests, games, poster boards, and interact with
other children; all designed to motivate creative thinking and literacy.
The Twinkle Twinkle Little Writer’s Club also serves as a
resource for TTLB to review potentially publishable books and give
children the opportunity to have their work published in hard-copy,
copyright protected, for them, to them, not TTLB.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Book’s objective is to
promote literacy through creative thinking. Our goal is to excite
children about reading, writing, drawing, and any other activity that
requires creative thought. The joy of knowing that we are able to give
kids an opportunity to use their creative minds and broaden their
horizons, keeps us committed to this goal and to the success and growth of
both our youth and our company.
Sincerely,

Nicole McClenahan is a
married mother of one. Much of her life was spent traveling,
migrating for short periods of years from the Hawaiian Islands to the
Fiji Islands, the Air Force in Texas, to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, and finally
settling in Pennsylvania. Her true home is the Fiji Islands where much of
her family still resides.

Nicole graduated from the
Institute of Children’s Literature in
1987, with a certificate in Writing for Children and Teenagers. Putting her
dream of writing for children on hold, she joined the United States Air
Force in 1991, and spent eight years serving her country. Within that
time frame, she gained her Associates of Arts in Information Management,
1998, and a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems
Management, 1998. Later she completed her Masters in Business
Administration in 2000.

She was an independent business owner with Mary Kay for a year in 2002,
when finally she was inspired to revisit her true dream to write for
kids. It was this dream that put in to motion the opening of Twinkle
Twinkle Little Books.
