Soft (Web) Publishing

Q.  How does my child’s work get published on the TTLWC website?

A.  When your child participates in any of the activities offered on TTLWC that has them create a writing or drawing or take a picture, your child may submit their work to be published on the website.  Any work they do can be published on the site, simply by submitting it to the club through the following ways:

  1. Scan their drawing, photograph, or story and email it to the appropriate email address given where the activity is listed.  For a story that is typed on the computer, they can send it in a file format via email.

  2. Mail their work to the address given where the activity is listed and have the club administrators scan it for them.  Their work will then be mailed back to them and the scanned images or file will be posted on the site.

Q.  How does TTLB ensure that my child’s work is copyright protected?

A. Please see the Copyright Protection section.

Hard Cover (Book) Publishing

Q. How can my child get his/her work published in a book?

A.  TTLB offers members the option to have their work published on the club website for all members to read and enjoy, making them a true published writer, photographer, artist, etc.  As members submit their work for publication, TTLB reviews each work for possible hard cover publication.   If the member’s work is deemed publishable, the member and parent will be contacted to discuss the option.  Each opportunity may be different, so each contract may be different, depending upon the opportunity.  At this time, hard cover publishing is not being offered to members, outside of TTLB’s discretion.

Q. How does TTLB ensure that my child’s work is copyright protected, if published in hard cover?

A. Please see the Copyright Protection section.
